Residents from Humfrey Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed a joyful minibus trip to a special dementia choir session at The Empire Theatre, where they spent the afternoon singing along to classic 1960s hits.
The visit took place on 4 March 2026 and brought together residents, staff and the lifestyle team for a heartwarming musical experience. Throughout the session, residents were seen smiling, tapping their feet and singing along to familiar songs, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere.
Music played an important role in bringing everyone together, with the well-known tunes helping to spark memories and encourage social interaction among participants. The event provided residents with a valuable opportunity to engage with others, enjoy live music and support their wellbeing through shared experiences.
Resident Barbara shared her delight following the visit:
