Meet Our Home Manager

Leona Richardson

I joined the Runwood Homes Senior Living group in 2019 as a Deputy Home Manager after obtaining a Bachelor of Honors Degree in Social Sciences.

I focus on ensuring that person-centred care is delivered for all residents, that independence is promoted, and that a safe and homely environment is evident for all. I have a true passion for enhancing services, thus positively impacting the health and well-being of our residents.

I have always operated an open-door policy and welcome you to visit or call to find out more. The team at Leawood Manor and I look forward to hearing from you.

At Runwood Homes, we offer a full food and dining menu consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacks to suit all dietary requirements. For residents requiring textured food or modified food, rest assured that your loved one’s needs will also be catered for. We take into account meal preferences from each resident in our care and aim to provide their favourite meals that they are used to.

Activities & Events

Your loved one will benefit from a dedicated Lifestyle Coordinator within the home; they will organise and encourage social interactions with a range of engaging activities. The Lifestyle Coordinator will create an activity calendar taking into account your loved one’s interests and varying needs. Activities may include Music and singing sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, baking and visits to outside attractions etc.
