I’ve worked in care homes for over 13 years now, and for the past 5, I’ve proudly called Runwood Homes my second home. I started off as a Care Team Leader during lockdown and have worked my way up to a manager’s role. One of my absolute highlights is leading our amazing residents in The Prime Timers choir and smashing a Guinness World Record attempt for the World’s Oldest Choir in December 2024. I love what I do, and I’m passionate about making every day meaningfulfor both our residents and the brilliant team I work with.

At Runwood Homes, we offer a full food and dining menu consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacks to suit all dietary requirements. For residents requiring textured food or modified food, rest assured that your loved one’s needs will also be catered for. We take into account meal preferences from each resident in our care and aim to provide their favourite meals that they are used to.
Your loved one will benefit from a dedicated Lifestyle Coordinator within the home; they will organise and encourage social interactions with a range of engaging activities. The Lifestyle Coordinator will create an activity calendar taking into account your loved one’s interests and varying needs. Activities may include Music and singing sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, baking and visits to outside attractions etc.
