Residents at Brewster House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a fun-filled and creative culinary experience after Hospitality Manager Chris Williams spent the day leading a hands-on bread, pasta and pizza making session.

The event, which took place on 14 May, brought together residents and staff for a day of learning, laughter and creativity in the kitchen. Residents had the opportunity to make fresh pasta, bake bread and create pizzas while learning new skills and sharing memories of cooking and baking at home.

Lifestyle Coordinator Leoni said: “It was so great to see everyone having such a great time and enjoying themselves in the session, doing something they maybe had never done before.”

The atmosphere throughout the day was lively and engaging, with residents chatting, joking and reminiscing while taking part in the activities. The session also encouraged newer residents to join in, helping them build friendships and get to know others within the home.

Resident David said: “That was fantastic, what a great day. I really enjoyed it, especially learning how to make pasta – that was something really different.”

Brewster House continues to provide meaningful and enriching experiences for residents, encouraging social connection, creativity and lifelong learning in a warm and welcoming environment.
