Residents, staff, and family members of Alexandra House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, celebrated Indian culture on the evening of 10 October 2025, as they held their much-loved community event: A Taste of India.
The event was a vibrant celebration of Indian culture featuring delicious traditional cuisine, outfits, music, and dancing. The atmosphere was full of happiness and laughter as the community came together at Alexandra House.
The Indian community came together to share traditional dishes, showcase beautiful dresses, and perform traditional dances and music, offering an immersive cultural experience for all in attendance.
Everyone who was present were full of praise for the evening. One family member commented that it was “such a good evening, the food was delicious, and the dresses were eye-catching.”
A standout moment of the evening was seeing everyone join in the event, especially enjoying dancing and admiring the outfits.
The idea for the event stemmed from its success the previous year. “It proved to be a wonderful way to bring everyone together and celebrate an amazing culture,” said the Lifestyle team at Alexandra House.
The Taste of India evening is part of the care home’s ongoing commitment to celebrating inclusivity, diversity, and meaningful engagement among residents, staff, and families.
