Alexandra House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, opened its doors and gardens for one of its biggest events of the year, the annual Summer Fete. This year’s celebration embraced a vibrant beach theme, complete with a BBQ, tiki bar, raffle, tombola, kids’ corner, cake stall, community stalls, and live entertainment.
The garden came alive as residents, staff, families, and friends came together. Live singer Paul, who later said, “Thank you so much for inviting me to come along and sing,” entertained the crowd, while karaoke, raffle draws, and friendly conversation made the afternoon one to remember.
Visitors described the day as “the absolute best day ever!” and “a lovely afternoon.” One family member added, “Thank you for all your hard work, my mum is so happy and well looked after.”
The Summer Fete is a much-anticipated tradition at Alexandra House, raising funds for the Residents’ Wellbeing Fund. This year’s event not only supported a good cause but also gave residents the opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones in a joyful, relaxed setting.
