Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was alive with laughter, cheer and friendly competition as residents, families, and staff celebrated their very own Ascot Ladies’ Day on Thursday 19th June. This unique event brought all the glamour of race day, with a humorous twist!
Residents, many dressed in fabulous hats and with glasses of Bucks Fizz in hand, lined the homemade track to cheer on an unforgettable broomstick “horse” race. Staff and family members embraced the role of jockeys, racing up and down in good spirits as part of the light-hearted entertainment.
Residents loved every moment, with Dorothy calling the event “fabulous” and Patricia finding the brooms especially entertaining.
The event brought the whole Rosedale Court community together — residents, carers, family members, and the lifestyle team. All were united through laughter, shared memories, and a touch of eccentric pageantry. More than just a race, the day was about joy, creativity, and celebrating the special moments that make life at Rosedale Court so full of heart.
