Residents and staff at Braywood Gardens Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, have gone the extra mile to support their local community by collecting and delivering donations to Jerry Green Dog Rescue, a nearby animal shelter dedicated to rehoming dogs in need.
The donation drive took place on 29th September 2025, following a successful dog show held at the care home in August. Inspired by their love for animals and their ongoing relationship with Jerry Green Dog Rescue, the team at Braywood Gardens set up a donation box, encouraging staff and families to contribute items needed by the shelter.
Leanne, Senior Customer Relations Manager, along with Michelle, Lifestyle Coordinator, personally delivered the donations to the shelter. There, they were warmly welcomed by the Community Fundraising Development Manager at Jerry Green, and got the chance to meet James the dog, one of the shelter’s success stories who has now found a loving home.
This heartwarming initiative highlights the care home’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community and supporting causes close to the hearts of both residents, staff and their families.
Supporting local organisations like Jerry Green Dog rescue has helped Braywood Gardens continue to build strong connections in the community whilst also raising awareness for the incredible, and important, work they do.
