Welcome to Crowstone House. Situated in Westcliff, Essex, our 50-bed residential and dementia care home offers person-centred care and an established community for our residents to thrive. At Crowstone House, we place a real emphasis on celebrating the lives of each and every one of our residents.

Meet Our Home Manager

Joseph Febre

With over 15 years of dedicated experience in the care industry, I began my career as a Care Assistant and steadily progressed through roles including Care Team Leader, Deputy Manager, and ultimately Registered Manager. My journey has been shaped by hard work, compassion, and a commitment to delivering outstanding care.

In recognition of my dedication, I was honoured with the Managing Director’s Award in 2024.

I treat every resident as if they were a member of my own family. I firmly believe that challenges are part of the journey and an opportunity for growth.

My top priority is always the safety, well-being, and happiness of those under my care. I am committed to treating all residents with dignity and respect, ensuring they feel valued, comfortable, and truly cared for.

At Runwood Homes, we offer a full food and dining menu consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacks to suit all dietary requirements. For residents requiring textured food, rest assured that your loved one’s needs will also be catered for. We take into account meal preferences from each resident in our care and aim to provide their favourite meals that they are used to.

Activities & Events

Your loved one will benefit from a dedicated Lifestyle Coordinator within the home; they will organise and encourage social interactions with a range of engaging activities. The Lifestyle Coordinator will create an activity calendar taking into account your loved one’s interests and varying needs. Activities may include Music and singing sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, baking and visits to outside attractions etc.

What a lovely home. The carers are amazing. All very attentive and any questions I have they know the answers instantly or find out for me. Any health issues that mum has the home are straight on it, calling the GP if necessary and meds supplied and given straight away. The home is always very clean and tidy and I am very happy that Mum is in good hands.
