Meet Our Home Manager

John Dunea

Hello, my name is John Dunea, and I am the Loganberry Lodge Care Home Manager. I would like to welcome you to our home. We are large care home in Colchester with 141 bedrooms, nicely situated over several homely units. We have a café and lounges for residents to relax in and with relatives and friends.

We deliver quality care to older people and those who live with dementia, and those with more complex needs. Our dedicated carers have accumulated many years of experience, including myself; I have worked at Loganberry Lodge for 12 years.

At Runwood Homes, we offer a full food and dining menu consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacks to suit all dietary requirements. For residents requiring textured food or modified food, rest assured that your loved one’s needs will also be catered for. We take into account meal preferences from each resident in our care and aim to provide their favourite meals that they are used to.

Activities & Events

Your loved one will benefit from a dedicated Lifestyle Coordinator within the home; they will organise and encourage social interactions with a range of engaging activities. The Lifestyle Coordinator will create an activity calendar taking into account your loved one’s interests and varying needs. Activities may include Music and singing sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, baking and visits to outside attractions etc.
