Woodbury Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, celebrated a remarkable milestone on 17th January as long-serving team member Maddie Sebastian marked her 20th year of service with Runwood Homes.
Maddie began her journey with Woodbury Court in 2005, shortly after arriving in the UK. Joining the team as a care assistant, she quickly distinguished herself with her dedication, compassion, and commitment to providing personalised care to residents. Over the years, Maddie has embraced various roles within the home, is a valued member of the housekeeping department.
Home Manager, Mel Oliver, shared glowing remarks about Maddie’s contributions: “Maddie has such a positive impact in the workplace. She’s dedicated, caring, and an absolute joy to work with. We feel privileged to have her as part of our team and deeply appreciate everything she does for the home and our residents.”
The celebration was an emotional and heartfelt occasion, with Maddie receiving recognition from the management team. Speaking about the milestone, Maddie expressed her gratitude: “Thank you to Mel, Lorraine, and Stella. You’ve always been so helpful to me. I love being at Woodbury Court, and this means a lot to me. Since coming to the UK without family, you’ve all become my family.”
Mel highlighted the importance of honouring staff achievements, saying, “It’s essential to recognise dedication like Maddie’s. She embodies the values of care and compassion that define our home.”
