Frank Foster House celebrated Pride with a vibrant and inclusive party on the 28th of June. The event was initiated by Maddie, the resident ambassador, who wanted to honour the occasion in support of her granddaughter and her girlfriend. The entire residence, led by Nicolas and supported by all staff, came together to organise a joyous celebration.

Residents and staff alike gathered to celebrate love, acceptance, and diversity. Maddie, a strong advocate for inclusivity, thoroughly enjoyed the festivities. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and colourful decorations, reflecting the spirit of Pride.

In addition to the celebration at Frank Foster House, a member of the team volunteered for Pride in London, joining forces with the Pride in Social Care initiative. This volunteer had the inspiring experience of meeting colleagues such as Lisa Carr, Director of Care Talks, witnessing the broader community’s commitment to inclusivity and support for individuals.

Innovation and inclusivity are essential pillars in social care. The Pride celebration at Frank Foster House demonstrates the commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all residents, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Events like these foster a sense of community and highlight the importance of acceptance and love in society.

Nicolas, Home Manager, shared his thoughts on the significance of the event:

“Pride is important to us and our residents. It reflects our dedication to inclusivity and our commitment to celebrating the diverse identities within our community. Our Pride celebration at Frank Foster House is a reminder that love and acceptance are at the heart of what we do.”
