Residents at Chelmunds Court, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a Valentine’s celebration on the 15th February with a beautifully decorated lounge and a special romantic-themed meal.
The lounge was transformed with Valentine’s decorations, and a long dining table was set up to create a shared, intimate experience. Residents were supported throughout the meal by care staff, and at the end of the evening, everyone received roses, chocolates, and small trinkets, making the occasion extra special.
Sheila H, a resident, said, “The lounge was decorated really well, and it was a lovely atmosphere. I really enjoyed the rose at the end as well.”
The event brought together residents, care staff, and kitchen staff who helped prepare and serve the Valentine’s dinner. Chelmunds Court celebrated love, friendship, and companionship within the home, giving residents the opportunity to feel appreciated and included in a meaningful seasonal celebration.

The atmosphere was described as joyful and full of smiles, with laughter and conversation flowing around the table.
