Chelmunds Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, has embraced the festive spirit this Christmas with a creative and inclusive Christmas Photobooth, cleverly transforming one of the home’s lifts into a fun and festive photo space for residents, staff, families and visitors to enjoy.
The photobooth was launched on 12 December 2025 and has remained available throughout the festive period, allowing everyone to take part whenever they wish. The lift entrance and interior were decorated with Christmas decorations, creating the feel of a real photobooth. A nearby table was set up with Santa hats, along with a poster and a helpful tip sheet to guide people on how to capture the best photos.
Commenting on the initiative, Pat, Staff Member at Chelmunds Court, said:
“It was a lovely way to take photos, and the photos looked like you were in an actual photobooth. It was a fun experience.”
The photobooth was created by the team following the success of a previous portable Christmas photobooth. By using the lift, the team ensured the space was accessible, easy to use, and available on an ongoing basis for everyone in the home.
The atmosphere around the photobooth has been festive and full of smiles, with the first photo session standing out as a particular highlight, as residents and staff enjoyed posing together and sharing laughter during the photoshoot.
This initiative has played an important role in encouraging creativity, interaction and festive cheer across the home, while also providing residents and their families with happy keepsake photos to treasure during the Christmas season.
