Frank Foster House Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group,  is celebrating one of its own this week, as Home Manager Nicolas proudly volunteered with The Outstanding Society during Brighton Pride on 2nd August 2025; a vibrant and vital event dedicated to championing equality, diversity, and LGBTQ+ rights.

As part of the Outstanding Society’s presence at Pride, Nicolas helped raise awareness around inclusion in the care sector, connecting with members of the public and fellow care professionals to spotlight the importance of creating welcoming, affirming environments for all, especially within care homes.

The Outstanding Society made up of care professionals from ‘Outstanding’-rated homes, exists to share best practices and promote continuous improvement across social care. One of its key values is equality, and events like Pride provide a meaningful opportunity to put that value into action.

“We’re incredibly proud of Nicolas for representing us with such passion and purpose,” said a team member for Frank Foster House. “By supporting Pride, we stand alongside our LGBTQ+ residents, staff, and communities affirming that everyone deserves dignity, safety, and the freedom to be their authentic selves.”

This year’s event was filled with colour, celebration, and connection, and everyone who took part agreed: it was a truly uplifting and empowering experience.

As the Outstanding Society says, “Inclusion is everyone’s business.” Frank Foster House, that means providing person-centred care that embraces every resident’s full identity, past, present, and future.

Well done, Nicolas, you’ve made your home proud.
