Residents and staff from Four Acres Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wonderful day out, as they took a scenic drive through Stratford-upon-Avon before stopping for lunch at the Wellesbourne Airfield Café.
Four residents, alongside the Lifestyle Coordinators, Ann and Kayleigh, took part in the outing. Ann suggested visiting somewhere new that the group hadn’t experienced before, and it turned out to be a perfect choice.
During their visit, residents enjoyed a delicious meal while watching planes take off from the airfield. The atmosphere was lively and full of smiles, with friendly café staff making everyone feel welcome. Residents particularly enjoyed chatting and laughing with new people in the community.
“This kind of outing is so important,” said Kayleigh. “It gives our residents the chance to explore new places, meet new people, and make memories together.”
A highlight of the day came from resident Gill, who shared how much she enjoyed the experience and thanked the team for arranging it though, as Kayleigh noted, “the smile on her face said it all.”
The trip to Wellesbourne Airfield Café was a wonderful reminder of the joy and connection that comes from being part of the wider community, and the team at Four Acres look forward to planning their next adventure soon.
