Residents from Frank Foster House Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wild and wonderful day out at Hertfordshire Zoo, with one very special highlight: the dinosaur exhibition that brought joy to dino-enthusiast Frank.
Organised as part of the home’s commitment to enriching resident experiences, the trip gave residents the chance to explore the zoo’s many animal exhibits, but it was the life-size animatronic Tyrannosaurus rex that stole the show for Frank. Known for his love of dinosaurs, Frank was fully in his element, sharing fun facts and lighting up with excitement throughout the day.
“I enjoyed it,” said Frank with a big smile. Staff shared how heartwarming it was to see him so animated and engaged during the outing.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit, and the team at Frank Foster House is already planning more outings like this to help fulfil residents’ wishes and create meaningful experiences.
“This was such a meaningful day,” said a staff member. “Seeing Frank connect with something he’s passionate about, and witnessing the joy it brought him, reminds us why these outings are so important.”
