Frank Foster House Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, proudly hosted a special event to celebrate and honour the contributions of veterans within its community. Nicolas Kee Mew, Manager at Frank Foster House, shared insights about the Veteran Friendly Framework and joined residents in reflecting on the incredible dedication and service of Armed Forces personnel.
The event was filled with gratitude and respect, offering residents, staff, and families an opportunity to come together and celebrate the sacrifices made by veterans, both past and present.
Nicolas Kee Mew said:
“Calling all veterans; we want to celebrate you. Today was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication of our service men and women and to share what it means to be part of the Veteran Friendly Framework.”
Residents praised the occasion, describing it as a chance to reflect on their service and enjoy being honoured by the care home community.
Frank Foster House is also proud to announce that it is in the process of registering as a Veteran Friendly Care Home. This commitment means the home will continue to recognise, support, and celebrate Armed Forces residents and colleagues, ensuring they receive the respect and care they deserve.
The home offers:
- Tailored, person-centred care for veterans
- Opportunities to connect with fellow service members
- Activities and events that honour military service
- Access to veteran-focused support and resources
A big well done was extended to the entire Frank Foster House team for creating such a meaningful and uplifting event. The atmosphere was described as warm, positive, and deeply respectful, highlighting the value of recognising veterans within the care community.
