On 23rd December, Frank Foster House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, made Christmas dreams come true, this year the team went above and beyond and created a wishing tree for the residents to write down their Christmas wishes, Frank Foster House granted a heartfelt wish for one of their residents, Jean.
Jean, who had been a dedicated member of her local choir for over 20 years, often spoke about how much she missed singing with a group. When she shared her wish to sing with her old choir again, Lifestyle Coordinator, Manel, and the team decided to make it happen.
Although Jean’s original choir was no longer active, the team at Frank Foster House reached out to Phoenix Choir who enthusiastically welcomed Jean as part of their group. The Phoenix Choir performed at the care home, and Jean had the chance to sing alongside them in a heartwarming and unforgettable Christmas performance.
The event was not only a dream come true for Jean but also a joyous occasion for all the residents, staff and families who attended. The room was filled with festive cheer as Jean’s wish brought everyone together in the spirit of the the season.
Manel, Lifestyle Coordinator at Frank Foster House, shared her thoughts on the special day: “It was wonderful to see Jean’s wish come true and to see her so happy while singing with Phoenix Choir.”
Jean herself expressed her gratitude, saying: “It was so much fun to be a part of the choir again. I really enjoyed every moment.”
