Heron Court Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, delighted residents and families with an unforgettable Summer Screen Soirée on Friday 25th July, a creative and fun-filled celebration inspired by favourite film characters and classic movie scenes.
The event invited residents, relatives and staff members step into the spotlight, dressing as beloved characters and recreating famous film moments. Each participant had the opportunity to “act out” a short scene, bringing laughter, surprise and joy throughout the day.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the appearance of Mary Poppins, whose portrayal brought huge smiles and applause from the audience. The entire atmosphere was lively and engaging, with participants overcoming stage fright to become stars in their own right.
The event was a brilliant success, showcasing the power of creativity and connection in care, and left residents and relatives asking for an encore.
