Residents and staff at Humfrey Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together on 2nd April 2026 for a heartwarming Easter celebration.
The Easter party was a lively and memorable event, with laughter, music, and festive cheer filling the day. A live singer brought everyone together, encouraging residents to sing along, dance, and enjoy the moment. The celebrations concluded with a much-anticipated Easter raffle, adding extra excitement to the occasion.
Brenda, a resident, shared her delight:
“What a wonderful Easter celebration it was! I really enjoyed the singing and the cheerful atmosphere; it brought back such lovely memories. It was nice to see everyone joining in and having a laugh together. The raffle at the end was a real treat too. A big thank you for such a happy and well-organised day!”
Weronika explained that the idea for the event came from her role as Humfrey Lodge’s lifestyle coordinator, aiming to create meaningful and engaging activities for residents. She highlighted the importance of such celebrations:
“Easter is always a special time for bringing everyone together. Celebrating occasions like this helps our residents stay connected to familiar traditions and routines from their past.”
