Ivy Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, continues its heartfelt mission to give back to the local community through its monthly charity donation appeal, with September’s donations going to Thornberry Animal Sanctuary.
Each month, the home selects a local charity and invites staff, residents, and their families to contribute by placing a dedicated donation basket and sign at the entrance. The response for September’s appeal was overwhelming, with generous contributions pouring in from all corners of the Ivy Court community.
The Home Manager shared:
“Giving back to the community is something very close to our hearts at Ivy Court. We receive so much love and support from the local area, and this is our way of showing our appreciation.”
Thornberry Animal Sanctuary expressed their gratitude, thanking the team for the “genius donations” and highlighting how impactful the support was. A standout moment came when the Ivy Court team personally delivered the donations to the sanctuary, the staff were deeply moved and couldn’t thank the home enough.
The idea for the monthly donation appeal was inspired by a similar initiative seen within the Runwood Homes Group, and it has since become a beloved tradition at Ivy Court. The atmosphere during September’s campaign was full of warmth and generosity, with families eagerly getting involved and the donation basket overflowing by the end of the month.
