Ivy Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was filled with festive cheer on 13 December 2025 as residents, families, and volunteers came together for the home’s much-anticipated Christmas Fayre, which saw a fantastic turnout from the local community.
Commenting on the event, Stacey, Home Manager at Ivy Court, said the day was a wonderful celebration of togetherness and community spirit.
The Christmas Fayre featured a variety of festive stalls, carol singing from both children and adults, and a beautiful performance by Ivy Court’s own choir, who sang much-loved Christmas songs. A special highlight of the day was the Christmas light switch-on, centred around a real outdoor Christmas tree, which Ivy Court introduced this year to make the event extra special.
Guests also enjoyed meeting Santa Claus and visiting a magical Christmas grotto, creating memorable moments for residents and families alike.
The atmosphere throughout the event was joyful and emotional, with many moved to tears during the choir’s performance. The day reinforced the importance of maintaining strong engagement with the wider community and providing meaningful, shared experiences for residents.
With families, residents, and volunteers all involved, the event was described as a perfect day from start to finish and a true celebration of the festive season at Ivy Court.
