Over the past two months, residents, staff, and visitors at Leawood Manor Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, have come together to support Millwood Cat Rescue Centre & Cattery through a donation drive. The initiative, which concluded on 21 October 2025, saw the Leawood Manor community collecting a variety of essential items to create a generous donation hamper for the rescue centre.
The campaign reflects Leawood Manor’s ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and strengthening community connections. Residents especially enjoyed visiting the rescue centre, where they could see first-hand the positive impact their contributions will make for the many cats being cared for.
“Supporting local charities means a lot to us here at Leawood Manor,” said Sue, Lifestyle Coordinator at Leawood Manor. “Residents, staff, and visitors uniting to help and donate to our chosen charity has been such a wholesome and wonderful experience. Our residents and I have enjoyed supporting such a meaningful cause, helping to provide care and shelter for so many cats in need. It’s amazing to see such kindness come together to truly make a difference.”
Leawood Manor is proud to continue its tradition of giving back to the community and looks forward to supporting more local causes in the future.
