Residents and staff at Longview Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were delighted to receive a thoughtful gift from McVitie’s in celebration of the beloved brand’s 100th anniversary.
The generous package included a fun quiz, delicious new biscuit flavours to sample, and commemorative mugs for the quiz winners. The celebration took place on Monday 12th May, and brought together residents, staff, and family members for an afternoon full of laughter, treats, and friendly competition.
“It was lovely of McVitie’s to send us this gift; the quiz was really fun. We all had a laugh,” said resident Jean.
The quiz included several exciting rounds—from general knowledge and picture rounds to a specialist biscuit-themed section—which kept everyone entertained and engaged. A definite highlight was the taste-testing session, where everyone enjoyed trying the new biscuit flavours.
The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, laughter, and lots of biscuit-fuelled conversation—a perfect way to mark a century of McVitie’s biscuit-making. Longview are grateful to McVitie’s for thinking of them.
