Mulberry Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, celebrated Easter in style during the week commencing 30th March 2026, with a week packed full of fun, creativity, and community spirit. Residents, staff, families, and members of the public came together to enjoy festive activities, culminating in a cheerful mini Easter fete.

Kirsty Edgar, Lifestyle Coordinator at Mulberry Court, said the celebrations included creating Easter bonnets and festive pictures, showcasing the creativity and excitement of everyone involved.

Edgar highlighted that the atmosphere was full of fun and laughter. Many residents, when younger, used to take part in the massive Easter bonnet parades, or their children did, which Luton used to organise, recalling Luton’s history as a hub for hat making. The celebrations provided a chance to relive fond memories and create new ones.

A standout moment was the head housekeeper dressing up as the Easter Bunny. Known for his enthusiasm in previous events, having dressed as Alice from Alice in Wonderland last year, he delighted everyone while helping spread smiles throughout the festivities.

The event at Mulberry Court was a heartwarming reminder of the joy and community spirit that seasonal celebrations bring, leaving lasting memories for residents and visitors.
