Oldfield House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, welcomed 2026 in true celebratory style with a vibrant New Year’s Party held on 2 January 2026, bringing together residents, staff, families and members of the local community for an afternoon filled with music, joy and togetherness.
The event was organised by Rozalia, Lifestyle Coordinator at Oldfield House, who helped bring the house to life by inviting talented singer Alan Turner to perform. His live music set the tone for a joyful celebration, with residents and guests dancing, singing along and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Speaking after the event, Rozalia said:
“Welcoming the New Year the best way we know how: with music in the air, smiles all around and familiar faces coming together. From dancing feet to glowing moods, our celebration was filled with laughter and memories as residents, staff, friends and families came together to make this moment truly magical.
These lively gatherings aren’t just parties, they are moments of connection, wellbeing and happiness that support our residents to stay active, engaged and surrounded by love as we welcome the year ahead..”
The positive atmosphere was echoed by those who attended. One community member shared, “I really enjoyed myself, as did everyone there.” A former employee commented on Facebook, “I loved working there. A very happy place.” A family member added, “It was a great New Year’s Party! Well done to all who made it such a success. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!”
