Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is delighted to announce that Home Manager Dani Pathirage has been honoured with the Carer Friendly Employer of the Year Award by Carers Trust Heart of England. This prestigious recognition celebrates organisations that go above and beyond to support carers, whether employees or customers, in their essential caring roles.
The award highlights Dani’s exceptional leadership and dedication. The nomination praised her as “an outstanding manager who consistently provides support to both staff and residents. She ensures that the team feels confident and well-guided in their roles, while also prioritising the needs and wellbeing of the residents. Through her approachable manner and willingness to step in whenever needed, Dani fosters a positive and efficient working environment. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to supporting others make her an invaluable part of the team.”
Dani was invited to attend the Carer Awards Ceremony, taking place on the 20th of November at St Mary’s Guildhall, Coventry. Winners were formally presented with their awards during the event and treated to an evening meal alongside other finalists. As she collected her award, she was invited to say a few words to the audience. Dani said receiving the award an
d doing a short speech was emotional as it was a great recognition of her work in a room full of inspirational people.
Everyone at Park View was so pleased to see Dani bring home the beautiful award. Dani, herself, commented:
“I have been working for eight years at Runwood Homes and have been a manager for five years, so it was an honour to be recognised. Coming from a carer background, I know first-hand how hard it can be for carers and so supporting all my staff is so important to me. I never forget where it all started and so supporting my staff and the recognition of my management has been amazing.”
