Residents and staff at Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together to celebrate a very special milestone as resident Clara marked her 100th birthday on 11 March 2026.

The care home organised a joyful celebration in Clara’s honour, bringing together staff, fellow residents, and family members to mark the remarkable occasion. The team arranged a beautifully decorated party, including a balloon arch and a specially made birthday cake to ensure Clara’s day was truly memorable.

A highlight of the celebration was when Clara received a birthday card from His Majesty The King, a moment that made the day even more meaningful for everyone present.

Bridie, Lifestyle Coordinator at Park View, said:
“We celebrated Clara’s 100th birthday and it was lovely to see the celebration come together. It was also wonderful to see her receive a letter from the King.”

The Deputy Manager at Park View added:
“It’s so lovely to share these special birthdays with our residents.”

The Home Manager at Park View said:
“We wanted Clara to have the best day. We created a balloon arch for her, and the Lifestyle Team and Deputy made it extra special by organising every detail.”

Clara’s family were also deeply touched by the effort that went into the celebration. Her son expressed his gratitude to the team for making the day so special, thanking staff for the care, attention, and dedication shown in creating such a meaningful occasion for his mother and the whole family.

The atmosphere during the event was described by staff as “very wholesome and very poignant”, with everyone coming together to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate Clara’s incredible milestone.

Celebrating a 100th birthday is a remarkable achievement, and the team at Park View were proud to mark the occasion in a way that honoured Clara and brought joy to everyone involved.
