Highview Lodge care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently held their highly anticipated Summer Fête on the 24th of August. Despite the rainy weather, the day was filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit as residents, families, and the local community gathered for an unforgettable event.
The fete featured an exciting range of activities, including games, a mouth-watering BBQ, and lively music. Although rain threatened to dampen the festivities, Highview Lodge quickly adapted by bringing the bouncy castle indoors, ensuring the children could still enjoy their fun. Raffle winners were also announced, and the event helped raise funds toward amenities for the home.
More than just a day of entertainment, the Summer Fête brought residents, their families, and the local community closer together, creating lasting memories and reinforcing the strong bonds within Highview Lodge. The funds raised during the event will go toward enhancing the amenities in the home.
Bethany, the Lifestyle Coordinator at Highview Lodge, shared her joy about the event:
“It’s amazing that despite the rain, so many came to enjoy our Summer Fête. The support from families and the community has been incredible.”
