At Longview Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, residents came together on Thursday 24th April for an eco-friendly spring crafting session, turning leftover Easter decorations into beautiful seasonal artwork.
The activity involved creatively reusing Easter bonnets and decorations that would otherwise have gone to waste. The craft session not only encouraged artistic expression but also supported the home’s ongoing efforts to be more environmentally conscious.
“It was fun spending time together making crafts,” said Hazel, a resident. “I struggle with ideas but today I felt inspired by my friends and was happy with my picture.”
The session was calm and relaxed, with plenty of friendly conversation and even some spontaneous singing along to 1950s classics playing in the background. The upbeat atmosphere and shared creativity made the afternoon a memorable one for all involved.
