Rose House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the highest possible 5-star Food Hygiene Rating following an inspection by the local Environmental Health Authority on 12 February 2026.
The 5-star rating, issued under the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, reflects excellence in food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards. During the inspection, key areas were assessed including food handling procedures, food storage, cleanliness of facilities, and the overall management of food safety systems. Rose House achieved top marks across all areas reviewed.
“We are incredibly proud of our team for achieving this 5-star rating,” said Jo, Home Manager at Rose House. “Food safety and quality are central to everything we do. This recognition is a testament to the hard work, professionalism, and dedication of our catering and hospitality staff.”
Chef Jake and Cook Cheryl supported the inspectors during the visit and played an integral role in demonstrating the home’s high standards and robust food safety procedures.
The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme helps residents, families, and visitors make informed choices by providing clear and transparent information about hygiene standards. A 5-star rating signifies that Rose House was found to have very good hygiene standards at the time of inspection.
This achievement highlights Rose House’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and to providing residents, guests, and visitors with safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals prepared in a clean and well-managed environment.
