Rose House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, observed Remembrance Sunday, taking part in the passing parade and paying tribute to the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and civilians during times of war.
The event saw participants gather both inside and outside the home, creating a meaningful and reflective atmosphere. Moments of quiet reflection were shared alongside times of community connection, highlighting the importance of gratitude, respect, and togetherness.
A Lifestyle Coordinator at Rose House, commented:
“With moments of enjoyment and reflection, we all shared a wonderful day together. Remembrance is not only about honouring the past, but also about cherishing the present and the community around us.”
Remembrance Sunday holds a special significance across the UK, uniting people in remembering those who gave their lives for freedom and peace. For residents and staff, participating in the day’s events provides a sense of connection to history and the wider community, while also fostering shared appreciation and solidarity across generations.
