A heartwarming act of kindness from a resident at Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, has brought smiles to young patients at Southend Hospital.
Steven, a resident at Rosedale Court, recently won a teddy bear in the home’s Valentine’s raffle. In a generous gesture, Steven chose not to keep his prize, instead requesting that it be donated to the Children’s Ward at Southend Hospital.
Honouring his wishes, a member of the Rosedale Court team, alongside Dementia Champion Lenny, personally delivered the teddy bear to Neptune Ward last week on Steven’s behalf.
The donation was warmly received by Lisa, Health Play Assistant, who helps support children during their time in hospital.
This thoughtful act highlights the kindness and community focus of Rosedale Court residents, demonstrating how small gestures can make a meaningful difference.
