Residents, staff, and community members at Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together for a vibrant and joyful celebration on 5th February, as they participated in the much-anticipated Community United Day alongside the Mushroom Theatre PALS Group.
The event, coordinated by Lifestyle Co-ordinator Louise, featured an afternoon of music, dance, and interactive performances. Residents had the opportunity to sing, play musical instruments, and enjoy the energetic atmosphere created by the talented performers from the Mushroom Theatre.
Resident James expressed their delight, saying, “I love seeing the Mushroom Theatre Group as they are just so natural.” Family member Gill echoed the sentiment, describing the atmosphere as “amazing.”
This event also saw the participation of Farther Paul from Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church, further strengthening the bonds between Rosedale Court and the wider Rayleigh community. Louise shared how the collaboration came to be, stating, “I was introduced to the owner, Penny, through a mutual friend and thought it would be a perfect opportunity to unite the community.”
The highlight of the day was the infectious energy that filled the room, with everyone who could joining in to sing and dance. A particularly memorable moment was when Rosedale Court‘s nurses and care staff joined the fun, demonstrating the inclusive and spirited nature of the gathering.
Rosedale Court continues to prioritise community engagement, and events like these showcase the power of music and performance in bringing people together. With such a successful day in the books, residents and staff eagerly await the next opportunity to celebrate with their community.
