Residents, families, and staff at Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were transported to a tropical paradise with a nostalgic twist as they came together for a lively “Summer Soiree – Caribbean Twist: Back to the 80s” celebration.
The courtyard garden was transformed into a vibrant festival scene, complete with palm trees, colourful bunting, paddling pools, and themed backdrops. Guests adorned flower garlands and Hawaiian shirts, embracing the lively Caribbean theme while dancing along to iconic hits from the 1980s.
Live music was provided by singer Debbie Rainforth, whose 80s set had everyone singing and dancing. Debbie said, “What a lovely afternoon it was – just brilliant!”
Guests were treated to a fully stocked bar and the home’s signature “Rosedale Court Punch,” available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, alongside classic summer fare including burgers, served fresh from the grill.
The standout highlight of the afternoon was the incredible participation – everyone dressed up, danced, and embraced the festival spirit, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and memories.
