Runwood Homes is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Doncaster FC, sponsored by Runwood, whose Under-16s team secured the runners-up position at the prestigious Easter Open 2026 tournament held in Holland on 4 and 5 April 2026.
Competing against 28 teams, Doncaster FC delivered an exceptional performance throughout the two-day international tournament. Demonstrating remarkable teamwork and defensive strength, the team progressed to the final without conceding a single goal. In a closely contested match, they narrowly missed the championship title, losing 1–0 to Jamaica.
Runwood Homes proudly sponsored the team, ensuring that the players had the necessary resources to participate in this international experience. The sponsorship reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, particularly in areas where it operates several care homes, including Rose House, Liberty House, Ivy Court, Rowena, and Oldfield House in the Doncaster region.
