Residents, staff and families from Ashwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together to celebrate the arrival of 2026 with a lively and inclusive Silent Disco event held on 31 December 2025.
The New Year celebration was made possible thanks to a generous Christmas gift from a resident’s family member, who arranged the hire of the silent disco equipment. The event created a fun and accessible way for everyone to join in the festivities, including residents who receive care in bed, ensuring no one was left out of the celebrations.
The atmosphere throughout the event was joyful and energetic, filled with singing, dancing and glowing accessories as residents and loved ones shared the moment together. The Silent Disco provided a unique way to mark the end of 2025 and welcome the beginning of 2026 in a way that was both memorable and meaningful.
Residents and families described the event as great fun, praising the inclusive nature of the celebration and the opportunity to create shared memories together.
