Silvanna Court Care Home hosted a vibrant and heartwarming fundraising event where one dedicated team member made a bold and colourful gesture to raise money for resident activities.
The event was inspired by Q, a care assistant at Silvanna Court, who proposed the idea of a sponsored hair-dye challenge. The home’s reception area became the centre of excitement as Q had his hair dyed bright blue in front of a supportive crowd of residents, relatives, staff members, and the on-site hairdresser, Julie.
The fundraising effort saw sponsorship collected throughout the month in the lead-up to the big reveal. Residents were delighted by the event and joined in the celebration.
Deby shared her gratitude, saying, “The activity team are so grateful for Q’s fundraising effort.” Q himself humbly remarked, “It was my pleasure to do something kind for our lovely residents.” Resident Val added, “I can’t believe someone would do something so kind for us. We are so grateful.”
