Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is soaring with pride after Home Manager Alex completed a daring 10,000-foot parachute jump to raise funds for the home’s amenities fund.
Originally set for Saturday but postponed due to weather, the jump finally took place on Sunday 27th April at 5pm. With nerves of steel and a heart full of purpose, Alex leapt from the skies to support the residents of Park View.
“When that plane door opened and I jumped out, the adrenaline was unreal,” Alex shared. “It was an unforgettable experience—one I won’t rush to do again, but absolutely worth it for the cause.”
Thanks to the incredible generosity of sponsors and supporters, Alex’s skydive raised over £1,000. These funds will be used to enrich Park View’s residents’ daily lives, including purchasing new activity equipment, providing live entertainment, and contributing to the home’s upcoming VE Day 80th Anniversary Street Party.
The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with excitement and anticipation, with everyone rallying behind Alex’s brave leap for a meaningful cause.
“This fundraiser was all about giving back to our residents,” Alex added. “We want to make sure they have plenty of opportunities to enjoy life, stay active, and feel part of a vibrant community.”
Park View extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and supported this sky-high mission of care and compassion
