Residents from Tallis House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a memorable day out on Monday 24th March when they visited Harlow Park and Toby Carvery.

The residents were joined by Tallis House‘s lifestyle coordinators and care staff, all of whom enjoyed the opportunity to be able to see a variety of animals, including pigs, sheep, different bird species, and fish. The sunny weather made for a perfect day outdoors, with residents expressing how much they enjoyed being around the animals.

After exploring the park, the group headed to a nearby Toby Carvery for a hearty roast dinner. The warm and friendly atmosphere continued as residents chatted about their favourite animals and shared stories over lunch.

One touching highlight came when a resident reflected on her childhood, saying the visit brought back memories of growing up on a farm where her father was a farmer. It was a moment that added a layer of personal meaning to an already special day.

Tallis House residents were keen to make the most of the warm weather, and are content when spending time in the great outdoors and alongside nature.

“Our residents said they love being around animals and had a lovely time,” commented lifestyle coordinators Rachel and Clare.
