On Friday the 18th of October, Bramwell care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, proudly hosted their annual “Wear It Pink” sponsored walk, where residents, staff, and relatives united to walk 12 kilometers in support of the Breast Cancer Charity. This engaging event not only raised awareness for breast cancer but also demonstrated the incredible spirit of the Bramwell community. Through the generosity of participants and donors, a total of £330 was raised in cash, along with additional funds collected via a QR code for direct donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation. All proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation in Nottingham, reinforcing Bramwell’s commitment to this vital cause.
The day of the walk was nothing short of spectacular. Residents and staff enjoyed the fresh air and camaraderie, creating lasting memories while supporting an important mission. The weather was perfect, adding to the enjoyment of the event. Families joined in the spirit of togetherness, embodying the community’s strength and resilience. After completing the walk, participants gathered at Bramwell’s beloved Cute and Cosy Café, where they were treated to delightful pink cake and coffee, a fitting celebration of their efforts and contributions.
Bramwell extends its sincerest gratitude to everyone who participated, donated, and supported the walk. Each contribution, no matter the size, plays a critical role in the fight against breast cancer. Together, they are making a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease, helping to fund vital research and support services that the Breast Cancer Foundation provides.
The enthusiasm and dedication shown by the residents, staff, and families exemplify the strong bonds within the Bramwell community. Events like these not only help raise funds for essential causes but also foster a sense of belonging and support among participants.
Bramwell looks forward to continuing its efforts in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research in the future. Together, they can bring hope and support to those affected by this disease.
