Westwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was alive with the vibrant flavours and aromas of the Mediterranean during its latest themed dining evening, held on Tuesday 22nd July. Organised by Activity Coordinators Natasha and Chloe, the event welcomed residents, staff, families, and members of the local community for a delightful evening celebrating Greek cuisine.
The monthly themed dining nights are a key part of life at Westwood, encouraging residents to explore international cuisines and enjoy meaningful time with loved ones and the wider community. Each theme is chosen in collaboration with residents, helping ensure that the events reflect their interests and tastes while creating a sense of excitement and involvement.
The evening featured a delicious array of homemade Greek dishes, all lovingly prepared by Head Chef Glenn, alongside a selection of refreshments. The atmosphere throughout was warm and lively, with guests embracing the chance to try something new.
The event received wonderful feedback, with many commenting on how enjoyable and thoughtful the evening was. The highlight was seeing everyone come together to share food, conversation, and laughter—an experience that truly captured the spirit of Westwood’s community.
