What to expect at Highview Day Centre

At our home, we take the time to truly understand each client as an individual. By working closely with families and speaking with the client themselves, we learn their likes and dislikes, their hobbies, past routines, and food preferences. This helps us create a fully tailored care plan designed to support comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Each day begins with a warm welcome. Residents are offered a hot drink and a biscuit, with toast available on request. Our team checks in with everyone to ensure they feel settled and supported before gently encouraging social interaction. Daily activities then begin, offering plenty of opportunities for engagement, creativity, and enjoyment.

On Wednesdays and Fridays, we host baking and cookery sessions with favourites that include mince pies and sausage rolls. Throughout the week, residents can enjoy quizzes, music sessions, bingo, board games, puzzles, colouring, and word games. We also arrange occasional afternoon teas within the community for those who wish to take part.

We are lucky to have Buddy, our friendly visiting dog, who has been coming to us since he was a puppy. He visits around three times a day and is adored by our residents, his presence always brings smiles and comfort.
