Wisden Court, part of the Runwood Homes group is proud to announce that they have achieved a “GOOD” rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an unannounced inspection on 23rd April 2024. The results, published on 27 July 2024, mark a significant improvement for the care home, which had previously been rated as “Requires Improvement” (RI) since their last inspection in 2019. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Wisden Court team, who have worked tirelessly to enhance the quality of care provided to their residents.
Sarah Humberstone, Home Manager, said: “I am delighted and extremely proud that Wisden Court has achieved a GOOD CQC rating. This is the third inspection Wisden Court has had in as little as six months. In November 2023, we had an announced PAMMS inspection with a good outcome, followed by a QA inspection in March 2024, again resulting in a good outcome. These achievements are well-deserved recognition and a true reflection of the hard work, kindness, and passion our dedicated team delivers every day.”
Iris, a resident, shared her thoughts: “I am so happy we have got a good rating. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. The staff are so kind here.”
Tracey, a relative of a resident, added: “I’m so pleased for Sarah and the team. They work so hard, and my mum is so well cared for. Well done, Wisden Court!”
Dr Gavin O’Hare-Connolly, Managing Director said: “I am delighted to see Wisden Court return to an overall Good rating which is the minimum standard we expect across our group. Well done to Sarah and her wider team, this is a true testament to the leadership and dedication of the wider team”
