Residents at Westwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, were delighted to welcome a special visit from their local Worksop Fire Station the Day Centre.
The visit provided residents with a fascinating insight into the important work carried out by firefighters. The team demonstrated how their equipment works and explained what daily life at the fire station involves. Residents thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the role and responsibilities of the crew, gaining a deeper appreciation for the vital service they provide within the community.
Adding to the fun, everyone took part in an animal-themed true-or-false quiz, which sparked plenty of laughter. The atmosphere throughout the morning was described as amazing, with residents fully engaged and enjoying the opportunity to connect with members of their local community.
Residents commented on how wonderful the visit was and spoke highly of the incredible job the firefighters do each day. The highlight of the morning was seeing so many residents actively getting involved, asking questions and sharing in the experience together.
