Residents and team members at Tallis House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently came together for a wonderful community gardening event, made possible by a generous donation from Waltham Abbey Tesco.
On 12 April 2026, Tesco kindly donated a selection of flowers and garden tools to help brighten the home’s outdoor space. The donation was arranged after Tallis House reached out to the local store for support in enhancing the garden for residents to enjoy.
Residents commented on the success of the day, saying:
“The garden is looking bright and cheerful — the perfect time to sit out in the warm weather.”
The atmosphere throughout the event was one of excitement and joy, with residents delighted to see the beautiful plants and take part in the gardening activities. A standout moment of the day was seeing everyone working together and helping each other, which truly reflected the strong sense of community both within Tallis House and with local partners.
