I started my career as a night care assistant in 2003 while my children were young. In 2011, I returned to a Nursing home and I have been fortunate in my career as I have had some fabulous Managers who have supported me to improve my skills and gain my qualifications, I then moved to a Residential care home where I could focus on medications and take on a more supervisory role.

I continued to improve my skills and moved onto Senior, Unit manager, Deputy roles before being offered my first Home Manager position in 2015. In 2018 , I took on a regional role which I did until 2022. I have spent time Managing, commissioning new homes and improving my skills as I continue to be mentored by great people, supporting me through my learning with all NVQ qualifications and eventually completing my L6 degree course.

I work in this role to ensure quality, person centred care are the main focus, whilst enjoying the company of our residents and making their quality of life the very best it can be.”
