Carolyne House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, brought festive cheer to residents and their families with a spectacular Christmas party on 21st December, 2024. The event, hosted in a rented hall, featured an array of entertainment and holiday-themed activities, leaving attendees in high spirits.
Charlotte, Lifestyle Coordinator at Carolyne House, reflected on the occasion:
“All the hard work from the staff to make this a special day for the residents really shows. The singers, magician, dance show, Santa appearance, and all the food was fantastic and made this a magical Christmas for the residents!”
The festivities included live performances from multiple singers, a mesmerising magic show, a lively dance performance, and even a surprise visit from Santa Claus, who handed out presents to all residents and children. Guests also enjoyed an impressive spread of food and drinks, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Residents and community members expressed their delight at the event. One resident summed it up simply: “Amazing day.”
The party, an annual tradition at Carolyne House, emphasises the home’s commitment to fostering connections among residents, relatives, and staff. “We rent a hall every year so the relatives and residents can celebrate Christmas together,” Charlotte explained.
A standout moment from the celebration was the performance by the care home’s manager and staff, who showcased a choreographed dance, much to the delight of the audience.
The atmosphere was described as “very festive,” with the care home pulling out all the stops to ensure everyone had a memorable experience. Events like this underscore the importance of creating joyful moments for residents and their loved ones, especially during the holiday season.
