Residents and staff at Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together to celebrate the birthday of much-loved resident Jeanette Adam. The celebration took place at Poplar Garden Centre, where Jeanette was joined by some of her friends from the Daffodil Unit.
Jeanette shared, “I had such a lovely birthday, it was so nice, especially when they sang Happy Birthday to me.”
The idea for the celebration came directly from Jeanette, as it was her special birthday wish. The atmosphere was described as “brilliant”, with highlights including the moment Jeanette’s face lit up with a big smile as she enjoyed her day surrounded by friends.
One of the Lifestyle Coordinators at Park View Care Home commented:
“Making Jeanette’s birthday a truly memorable experience was very important to us. It’s all about creating special moments that bring joy and happiness to our residents, and today was all about celebrating Jeanette.”
The celebration was a wonderful reminder of the importance of community, friendship, and honouring the wishes of residents to make their milestones truly meaningful.
